Summary:The authors examined 40 patients with acute puerperal mastitis and 34 healthy puerperas of the control group. Functional activity of the blood microphages and the breast milk macrophages according to the NST-test data has proved to be significantly increased, but at the same time, the decrease in potential possibilities of the cells was noted. Expression of both the types of the blood neutrophile granulocyte receptors increased, and that of the breast milk macrophages decreased.
