Summary: | This work examines the operation of a capacitor-based hybrid source supplying a pulsed load. A comprehensive and accurate steady-state analysis of a battery or fuel cell in parallel with a double-layer capacitor supplying a pulsed load is performed. Parasitic elements such as battery or fuel cell internal resistance have been included in the models that are studied in this paper. The focus of the paper is on establishing design criteria to help minimize voltage deviations. |
