Description
Summary:The discussers thank the author for his excellent critical review on the evolution of water-pollution management and its impact on land-pollution management in the twentieth century. This review has provided insight into the history of pollution management and has clearly brought out the theories and techniques in addressing surface and groundwater pollution, as well as how the environmental regulations arose and played a key role in upgrading the systematic scientific understanding of water pollution and its implementation in managing the pollution. However, the discussers believe that certain genuine gaps occur in this classic review, especially in the areas of applicability of management framework and groundwater quality management. It seems appropriate to enumerate these points to give a complete comprehensive generalized perspective of the review carried out by the author on pollution management.
