Summary: | Ingot of Ti-5.6Al-1.5V-1.0Mo-0.08C% alloy, activated by carbon, is melted by vacuum arc method. An influence of technological heating on character of carbon distribution in the cast and deformed metal is investigated by autoradiographic method. Uniform distribution of carbon in the solid solution after quenching and its tendency to directional redistribution under slow cooling are found. This indicates a possibility for changing properties of pseudo- alpha -alloy via variation of heat treatment conditions. |
