Description
Summary:The results of AC-susceptibility measurements of TbFe sub 1-xAl sub xO sub 3 and TbFe sub 1-xGa sub xO sub 3 powder solid solutions at low temperatures and frequencies smaller than 5kHz are presented. As it was found, the dynamic susceptibility of TbFeO sub 3 orthoferrite at 2.8 K x T x 10 K, heavily depends on H sub ac frequency. Such dispersal behaviour reflects mainly processes related to reorientation of more physically extensive magnetic complexes in that temperature range. The singularities of TbFeO sub 3 dynamic susceptibility components can be easily identified with phase transition temperatures in this orthoferrite. Substitution of non-magnetic atoms (Al,Ga) in Fe sup +3 sublattice of TbFeO sub 3 effectively blocks the above-mentioned processes, by the phase situation of TbFe sub 1-xAl sub xO sub 3 and TbFe sub 1-xGa sub xO sub 3 compounds, as well as their dynamic appear noticeably "poorer". No explicit influence due to the type of the substituted atom on the form of susceptibility has been found. 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
