Summary: | Epidural steroid injection is widely used in the management of chronic back pain. Retinal hemorrhages associated with this treatment are well described, but central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) following this treatment has not been reported in the United States. A case of CSC following epidural steroid injection is presented. This case supports previous hypotheses that a resulting adrenergic reaction causes choroicapillaries permeability changes. |
