Description
Summary:Field experiments carried out in southern Italy in 1989-90 to test the behaviour of different Chickpea lines and cultivars toward Ascochyta rabiei (Pass.) Labr. showed the following results. ILC 202 and IAPA 8, showed very good behaviour, especially toward pod infection, followed by the local line from Casamassima and "Sultano", Batit 3/84, "Califfo", ILC 195 and IAPA 12. The lines of the MGBC series showed great susceptibility. Seed infection was significantly influenced by pod infection. DATA of grain yield are also reported.
