Summary:A question and answer advisory regarding whether the $17 trillion federal debt is immoral is presented. Here, Black comments that accruing debt itself is not immoral, but a culture of debt most certainly is. Debt has become the American way of life, one that threatens the flourishing and that of future generations. American leaders must find the political will to address the burgeoning debt with meaningful and substantive reform. Citizens should applaud their courage and willingly share the burden.
