Description
Summary:A relationship between age and dried lens weight of Rattus norvegicus was derived by regression analysis of data from ninety-six male and and 105 female rats sacrificed at various known ages up to 18 months from birth. A single predictive equation (combining males and females) is recommended for practical use which relates eyelens weight to a transformed measure of age. The equation is log sub(10) (age + 22 days) = 1 multiplied by 313 + 0 multiplied by 021 (paired lens weight) where 22 days is the gestation period and the correlation coefficient is 0 multiplied by 96.
