Summary: | Interactions of Ru(PPh3)3Cl2 and Ru(DMSO) 4Cl2 with NaLOEt(LOEt– = {(η5-C5H5)Co[P(O)(OEt) 2]3}–) afforded LOEt(PPh 3)2RuCl and LOEt(DMSO)2RuCl, respectively. Reactions of LOEt(PPh3)2RuCl with PhC[special characters omitted]CH, 3–butyn-1-ol, Me3SiC[special characters omitted]CH and 2-phenyl-3-butyn-2-ol in the presence of NH4PF 6 afforded [LOEt(PPh3)2Ru=C=C(Ph)H]PF 6, [LOEt(PPh3)2Ru{=[special characters omitted]}]PF6, [LOEt(PPh3) 2Ru=C(OMe)Me]PF6 and [LOEt(PPh3) 2Ru=C=C=C(Ph)Me]PF6, respectively. Interaction of Ru(PPh3)2(CO)(CH=CHPh)CI with NaL OEt afforded σ-vinyl complex LOEt(PPh3)(CO)Ru(CH=CHPh), which reacted with HBF4 to give η2-styrene complex [LOEt(PPh3)(CO)Ru(η2-CH2=CHPh)]BF 4. Reactions of [LOEt(PPh3)(CO)Ru(OH2)]BF 4 with Lewis bases afforded [LOEt(PPh3)(CO)RuL] n+ (n = 0,1) (L = NH2C6H4Me- p, PPh3 and N3–). Treatment of LOEt(PPh3)2RuCl with CS2 in the presence of PR3 (R = Ph, Cy) afforded [LOEt(PPh 3)Ru(η2-S2CPR3)]+. However, reaction of [Ru(PPh3)2(CS)Cl2] 2 with NaLOEt gave LOEt(PPh3)(CS)RuCl. Interaction of [Ru(COD)Cl2]x with NaLOEt afforded LOEt(COD)RuCl, which reacted with AgBF4 to give [LOEt)(COD)Ru(OH2)]BF4. Reactions of [LOEt(COD)Ru(OH2)]BF4 with S or N donor ligands, afforded [LOEt(COD)RuL]+ (L = SEt2, DMSO, py, NH2C6H4Me-p, NH 3, MeCN, N2H4, t-BuNH2). Reactions of [LOEt(COD)Ru(OH2)]BF4 and [L OEt)Et(PPh3)(CO)Ru(OH2)]BF4 with NaOH afforded hydroxide complexes LOEt(PPh3)(CO)RuOH and LOEt(COD)RuOH, respectively. Reactions of ReN(PPh3)2Cl2 and [Bu 4N][OsNCl4] with NaLOEt afforded LOEt(PPh 3)ReNCl and LOEtOsNC12, respectively. Oxidation of LOEt(PPh3)ReNCl with AgBF4 gave nitrido-Re(VI) complex [LOEt(PPh3)ReNCl]BF4. Reaction of LOEtOsNC12 with PPh3 afforded phosphoraniminato-Os(IV) complex LOEtOs(NPPh3)Cl2. Interactions of Ru(PPh3)2(NO)Cl3 with Na2L1 and NaL2 (L1 = (R, R)-N, N′- is(3, 5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)-1,2-cyclohexane-diamine; L2 = N, N′-bis(3, 5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)-4-toluidine) afforded trans-RuL1(NO)Cl and trans -Ru]2(NO)(PPh3)Cl2, respectively.
