Summary: | The “Debates” section was proposed within the scope of the new series of the Anais do Museu Paulista, launched in 1993. Unlike the thematic dossiers, which bring together case studies and recent and unpublished research on a theme, the “Debates” section brings articles that address burning and controversial issues of a conceptual nature, in line with current discussions in their disciplinary areas. Since its inception eighteen years ago, the section has promoted six debates with contributions from more than fifty authors and authors.twoThe proposed structure foresees a main article, the object of the debate, and comments by invited and invited experts in the fields of knowledge of interest to the topic in question. In some issues, we have a replica of the author of the main article. However, this “Debates” section presents some differences in relation to the others. |
