Summary: | The influence of the family in the development of thinking in school age of children who had very low weight at birth was assessed. The observation and interview to the family were used; also a battery of the psychological tests was included in the study. The results show the influence of home environment, the development of thinking in school age children was lower in infant very low weight at birth. Incorrect methods of education prevail in parents of infants with very low weight at birth. Children with less settled family environment show inadequate development of thought. Se valoró la influencia de la familia en el desarrollo del pensamiento a la edad escolar temprana de niños y niñas muy bajo peso al nacer, en estudio a 22 infantes de 7 y 8 años de edad. Se utilizaron diferentes técnicas como observación, entrevista a las familias y batería de pruebas psicológicas para el estudio del pensamiento. Se confirmó la incidencia del ámbito familiar, se destaca un menor desarrollo del pensamiento en los escolares con muy bajo peso al nacer. El 45,4% de los infantes MBP al nacer viven en climas psicológicos tensionantes, predominan estilos educativos inadecuados en 90,9%, un 54,8% de los padres son inconsistentes, 18,2% son sobreprotectores. Los niños con ambientes familiares menos desarrolladores presentaron dificultades en el desarrollo del pensamiento. |
