Description
Summary:Using educational interventions to increase awareness of Griffin's (2004) ten most common forms of LV (nonverbal innuendo, verbal affront, undermining activities, withholding, sabotage, infighting, scapegoating, backstabbing, failure to respect privacy, and broken confidences) is an effective strategy to reduce LV. Policy empowers nurse managers to hold employees responsible for negative behaviors and also allows for the acknowledgment and rewarding of positive behaviors in the annual employee evaluation.
