Description
Summary:We present the results of the pulsed ultraviolet laser effect on the spectral properties of the potassium-aluminium-borate glasses doped with the copper chloride nanocrystals with the average size of 3.1-6.3 nm. We have studied the changes of the exciton absorption spectra of the CuCl nanocrystals induced by different duration of the laser exposure. The results show the possibility of the laser-induced crystallization and growth of the nanocrystals. For the first time the effect of the irreversible photochromism has been obtained in the potassium-aluminium-borate glasses doped with the copper chloride nanocrystals. The effect is associated with the formation of the temperature stable Cu0n colloidal color centers.
