Description
Summary:In the present study, a comparative quantitative estimation of the level, intensity, and frequency of the ER expression in NSCLC tissues and also in lung metastases of tumor of another primary localization was carried out. In addition to the undoubted fundamental importance of this kind of knowledge, the main question that we tried to answer is how many patients with NSCLC and possible lung metastases of tumors of another primary localization are potential candidates for anti-estrogen treatment. Data showed that a significant number of patients with NSCLC and lung metastases of tumors of other primary localizations can be potential candi dates for anti estrogen therapy. Similar to breast can cer, we can talk about the adjuvant application of anti estrogen for radically operated patients with primary or metastatic lesion of the lung, which have the ER positive status in tumor and, primarily, a high level of receptor expression.
