Summary: | While this issue was being prepared for production, we received word of the death of Joseph E. McGrath, a member of our Editorial Board. Dr. McGrath was Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Women’s Studies at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. His distinguished career included military service in the US Army at the end of World War II, followed by completion of the BS and MA degrees in psychology from the University of Maryland and the Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan. After a brief period of employment in the private sector, he joined the faculty at the University of Illinois, where he remained until retirement in 1997.
