Description
Summary:This article offers insight into the design and realization of a scalar free-space measurement system applicable to inverse synthetic aperture imaging purposes. The basics of the measurement method are reminded and a calibration procedure of the main hardware (HW) imperfection is proposed. The majority of the article is devoted to correctly choosing the HW components, modulation scheme, assembly of the system and its characterisation. The functionality of the system was carried out via the imaging of a metallic plate.
