Description
Summary:In this paper, a new model for the determination of wind turbine power curves is given. It represents an improved version of the model proposed by the authors in a previous paper. Although a new parameter is introduced in the model, the simplicity is preserved. The new model significantly exceeds in accuracy the well-known linear, quadratic, cubic, and previous authors' ones. The results were verified by wind measurement data obtained in two locations in Libya (Ghadames and Tajura) using three wind turbines (Gamesa, Enercon, and Vestas).
