Description
Summary:Rural credit is the great booster of the Brazilian agricultural sector, being the main claim of rural producers to leverage their funding and investment within the rural establishment. However, the exhaustion of this current model of credit backed by the Federal Government is notorious, which required the need for new sources of credit driven by the production chain itself. In view of this, the present work aims to carry out a bibliometric study of a descriptive nature with content analysis on the theme of rural credit in Brazil, with emphasis on the bater operation, in order to understand how the theme is being presented in the academic community. In this context, the results indicate a predominance of works focused on: the effects of credit policy; access to rural credit; risk factors; rural credit for family agriculture; and credit sources. While the works focused on the relationship between rural credit and the other spheres of the productive chain, socio-environmental policies and rural insurance are incipient, there are not enough studies on the bater operation, which shows a vast field to be explored on these themes so contemporary and present in the daily life of Brazilian agribusiness.
