Summary: | Objective: Identify offensive and defensive actions of the finalists' game model in the UEFA Euro 2016 (France and Portugal) and relate to the attack form that most ended in finalization with the goals scored by them. Methods: This research is a descriptive study with quantitative approach. All the matches of the UEFA Euro 2016 finalists were watched in full and analyzed. The data were collected regarding to the moments of the game that the team's goals were scored, being analyzed which attack forms most ended in finalization, in which sector of the field the teams most recovered the ball possession, which defensive behavior was adopted by both. All the data were cataloged and placed in the Microsoft Excel program, so the percentage of them was obtained. Results: In relation to the goals scored both teams obtained equal results for offensive organization. It was identified that the offensive action that most ended in finalizations was the positional attack for both teams. The field sector where the teams most recovered the ball possession was in the defensive middle sector. As far as the defensive behavior is concerned, France exerted more of the pressing zone, while Portugal used the passive zone. Conclusions: In the context of the offensive phase, it was observed a relation between the goals scored and the offensive actions that resulted in finalization, due to both being composed by a long period of accomplishment, with extensive exchange of passes. Related to the defensive character it was observed the teams that use the zone pressing tend to recover the ball faster and near the goal that they are attacking. Key words: Football. Sports. Objetivo: identificar acoes ofensivas e defensivas dentro do modelo de jogo das equipes finalistas da UEFA Euro 2016 (Franca e Portugal) e relacionar a forma de ataque que mais concluiu em finalizacao com os gols marcados pelas mesmas. Metodo: Esta pesquisa e do tipo descritivo de carater quantitativo. Foram assistidos na integra e analisados todos os jogos dos finalistas da UEFA Euro 2016. Coletou-se dados referentes a qual momento do jogo ocorreu os gols das equipes, quais formas de ataque que mais terminaram em finalizacao, em qual setor do campo as selecoes mais recuperaram a posse de bola, qual o comportamento defensivo adotado por ambas. os dados foram catalogados e colocados no programa Microsoft Excel, onde se obteve o percentual dos mesmos. Resultados: Em relacao aos gols marcados as duas equipes obtiveram resultados iguais para organizacao ofensiva. Identificou-se como acao ofensiva que mais terminou em finalizacao o ataque posicional em ambas. O setor do campo que as equipes mais recuperaram a posse de bola foi o setor medio defensivo. No que diz respeito ao comportamento defensivo, a Franca exerceu mais a zona pressing, enquanto Portugal a zona passiva. Conclusao: No ambito da fase ofensiva observou-se uma relacao entre os gols marcados e as acoes ofensivas terminadas em finalizacao, devido a serem compostas por um tempo grande de realizacao e com longa troca de passes. Em caracter defensivo foi observado que equipes que utilizam a zona pressing tendem a recuperar a bola mais rapido e proximo do gol que esta atacando. Palavras-chave: Futebol. Esportes.
