Description
Summary:The effect of the amount of chromium diboride additives in the NiAl intermetallic alloy on the corrosion resistance of composites in a 3 % NaCl aqueous solution simulating sea water, using anodic polarization curves, is studied. It is demonstrated that the introduction of more corrosionresistant components (chromium diboride) into the NiAl intermetallic alloy has no significant effect on the durability of such composites in sea water. The basic mechanisms of corrosion in the developed composite materials in corrosive aqueous medium are established.
