Description
Summary:In the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, on the Grindul Lupilor marine levee the authors have carriedout bird ringing since 2004. The main goal was to contribute to the investigation of the species constitution of the locally breeding and migrating passerines. Furthermore there were recorded the condition and weight of each bird in order to be able to determine the importance of the location in bird migration as a stopover and refuelling site. In the presentwork there were processed and analysed the data gathered by local, English and Hungarian ringers involved in the research from 2004 to 2009. The article contains the list of the bird species ringed during the fieldwork and there are provided statistics ofthe seasonal changes in the species constitution, the capture rate, as well as the body mass/weight score. There was performed the analyse of the control ratio, as well as the age distribution of the captured birds, being provides a comparison with previous knowledge on the respective issues.
