Summary:This section addresses one of the key issues for Latin American politics in 2020: the crisis scenarios arising from the mobilizations carried out in the second half of 2019. Through critical analysis, the different articles provide a comprehensive view of the different causes behind the protests and describe the different possible situations. The first article provides a general analysis of the region that serves to contextualize the following case studies: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia.
