Examination of 218 patients with chronic pancreatitis in the age aspect, on the basis of quantitative study of certain parameters of vitamin and mineral metabolism in the blood. Results. The study of nutritional insufficiency in chronic pancreatitis depending on the biological age of patients indicates that the age of patients is a predictor of vitamin and mineral deficiency, as well as accumulation of toxic minerals in the blood serum. Conclusions. The data obtained indicate that the age of patients with chronic pancreatitis is a predictor of vitamin and mineral deficiency, accumulation of toxic minerals, which must be taken into account when developing a comprehensive treatment for this category of patients.
