Description
Summary:The article shows the main results of pheno-geographical research of the Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) population-chorologic structure in the Russian plain, in the Southern Trans-Urals. It also suggests possible practical uses of these results in forestry of Russia. It is recommended to use the maps showing the spatial arrangement outline obtained during the research in developing seed zoning of the species. A system of silvicultural-economic measures aiming at restoring genetic variation and evolutionary-genetic processes in populations is discussed.
