Summary: | One of the various meanings that the Spanish suffix -ero/-eraadds to the bases to which it is attached is that of ‘furniture’ or ‘storage place’. This is also one of its most productive meanings. This study aims to offer a description of a set of words derived from this suffix that refer to storage utensils (containers, furniture, etc.) and that are documented in the 17thcentury. The data used for our study are obtained from the Corpus Léxico de Inventarios(CorLexIn), a specialised corpus consisting of a wide range of notarial documents.
