Summary:This editorial discusses counseling. Counseling is a growing field and appeals to a wide range of people because it is at once altruistic, scientific and professional. Counseling Psychology is not as popularized because it is more recent and threatens to prevent those who are not psychologists with a a Ph.D. from performing any sort of counseling. The Counseling "band wagon" it's dangers are discussed. The author provides suggestions on how to minimize these "band wagon dangers."
