Summary:The issues related to the involutional period in males are discussed. It is demonstrated that the development of complicated involutional period is under considerable impact of not only genetic factors but such socially important factors as alcoholism in family, nicotine dependence of mother or father, pecuniary component in family, etc. The malignancy of the combined effect of biogenetic, exogenous and acquired factors is verified.
