Summary:Heterotropic mesenteric ossification is a rare entity. Only a few cases have been described in the literature. We report a case of heterotropic mesenteric ossification in a patient who underwent several laparotomies, after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. We discuss the radiographic findings of this disease that can easily be misdiagnosed, and review the literature.
