Description
Summary:On the basis of a complicated case of primary amyloidosis observed at our medical division, the clinical criteria and the biochemical and physiological supports correlated to this disease are discussed. In particular, it has been tried to make a distinction between primary and secondary amyloidosis. In this study, the clinical case of a 67-year-old man with a history of monoclonal gammopathy of uncertain significance, dizziness and syncopal episodes personally observed for a deep venous thrombosis of the inferior right limb is described. Of particular interest is the discovery of unusual resistance to anticoagulant treatment.
