Summary:	We report here the full length cDNA sequence and the deduced amino acid sequence of MyD118, a novel myeloid differentiation primary response gene transiently expressed in M1D+ myeloid precursors following induction of terminal differentiation and growth arrest by IL6. MyD118 expression was observed to be induced also in the absence of protein synthesis, following stimulation of M1D+ cells by IL1, LPS and Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF). Detectable levels of MyD118 RNA were observed in myeloid precursor enriched murine bone marrow, but not in several other nonmyeloid murine tissues.
