Description
Summary:A human cDNA encoding the ciliary neurotrophic receptor (CNTFR) was used to screen a bovine genomic library constructed in SuperCos1 (Stratagene) and consisting of more than 300 000 independent clones. A positive cosmid clone was subcloned. Sequencing of subclones yielded a 218-bp sequence, of which 167 bp were 90% similar to almost the entire exon 9 of the human CNTFR gene (EMBL accession number L38025). The EMBL accession number of the bovine sequence is Y11112.
