Description
Summary:To determine the feasibility and clinical outcome of using a new hysteroscopic bipolar electrosurgical system. Pilot feasibility study. A university teaching hospital. Eight women with intrauterine lesions. Six women with impaired fertility and two with abnormal bleeding were selected. Three septoplasties, two adhesiolysis procedures, two polypectomies, one myomectomy, and one endometrial ablation were performed with the Versapoint system (Gynecare Inc., Menlo Park, CA). Fertility, obstetric outcome, and menstrual blood loss. Five of six patients conceived six normal fetuses. Menstrual blood loss improved significantly in the remaining two patients. The Versapoint system is an effective alternative in the treatment of intrauterine lesions.
