Summary: | Major trends of research carried by Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA) member countries in the field of "viral carcinogenesis" of the complex problem "malignant neoplasia" are outlined for the past 10 years. Steady extension and elaboration of the types of cooperation is emphasized. Scientific cooperation of CMEA member countries has been carried out since 1974 under the sponsorship of the Cancer Research Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences (Czechoslovakia) within the framework of CMEA. Leading oncological institutions of Bulgaria, GDR, Hungary, Poland, USSR and Czechoslovakia have been contributing to the research. |
