Description
Summary:Thymoxamine, an alpha-adrenergic receptor blocking agent, was compared with pilocarpine in 11 patients for its effect on the depth of the anterior chamber. In the eyes treated with thymoxamine rapid and sustained miosis occurred without a significant change in the depth of the anterior chamber. On the other hand, the miosis induced by pilocarpine was accompanied by significant shallowing of the anterior chamber.
