Description
Summary:Two-dimensional spatial-frequency characteristics of receptive fields were obtained when investigating with sinusoidal gratings of different spatial frequency and orientation. The optimal spatial frequency does not change with orientation. Theoretical analysis of the role of limited size of RF shows that RF must be broadband in frequency and orientation. The results show that RF are grating filters.
