Summary: | Oxidative modification of LDL is accompanied by a number of compositional and structural changes, now well known. In addition, other atherogenic modifications of LDL exist, such as desialylation. The present article summarizes the recent data related to desialylated LDL and to the presence of these LDL in blood plasma of patients with coronary atherosclerosis. In addition, this review examines the sensitivity of these LDL to peroxidative stress. |
