A case of large posterior mediastinal cystadenomatous goiter

The authors present a case of large posterior mediastinal cystadenomatous goiter in an elderly man. The resection performed utilised a combined cervical and thoracic approach. The diagnostic and operative handicaps in deep and fixed mediastinal goiters are discussed.
