Summary:A young male patient, just recovered from a recent transient ischaemic attack, was operated on for mitral valve insufficiency due to suspected endocarditis. Multiple wear-and-tear lesions were found at the line of closure of the mitral valve, which appeared to be Lambl's excrescences. The valve was replaced.
