Summary:Oncological patients are already exceedingly burdened due to their underlying disease, so that another complication can quickly cause significant deterioration of the state of health. Febrile neutropenia should be rapidly treated with anti-infective agents and malignant hypercalcemia requires a rapid diagnosis. In the case of suspected checkpoint inhibitor-associated toxicity, an interdisciplinary consultation is often necessary.
