Summary:	We investigated RU 28965, a new macrolide antibiotic, its clinical efficacy and side-effects. 1. RU 28965 was given to 22 patients with skin and soft tissue infections. The results obtained were: excellent 10, good 7 and fair 5 cases. The efficacy rate was 77.3%. 2. No side-effects due to RU 28965 were observed, but in the laboratory findings, elevation of S-GOT was noted in one case.
