Summary:	Cefepime (CFPM) was administered to 8 patients comprising 3 cases of acute bronchitis, 4 cases of pneumonia and 1 case of acute exacerbation of bronchiectasis. CFPM was administered for 6-4 days and the total dosage was 5.5-28 g. Therapeutic response was excellent in 2, good in 5 and poor in 1. In 1 patient transient rise in GOT and GPT, in 1 patient transient rise in eosinophilia, GOT and GPT and in 1 patient transient rise in LDH were noticed, but no side effects were observed.
