Description
Summary:In this paper, an efficient modeling technique has been presented for interfaced field in finite difference time domain analysis. Present modeling technique gives the more accurate results over the conventional modeling technique in FDTD method. In present modeling technique, only selective fields are updated with average permittivity at the interfaces. This technique is mainly advantageous for the modeling of any dielectric-dielectric interface or air dielectric interface. Efficiency of present modeling technique has been presented for rotationally symmetric structures using 2-D FDTD by calculating eigenvalues of resonating structures. Pade method has been used for the fast computation of resonant frequency. To show accuracy of modeling, the comparison results have been provided for the dielectric rod loaded cavity and ring dielectric resonator loaded cavity.
