Summary: | In consideration of the fact that most ships adopt the prevailing static hydrocyclone slop treatment system with a low efficiency, the present research tries to design a dynamic ship-born hydrocyclone bilge water treatment system. By use of a high-speed rotation of cyclone wall, the system enables the different components of oily water to separate due to the different centrifugal forces generating during the process. According to the characteristics of slop, structure parameters for a single hydrocyclone separator are designed. And in order to realize real-time monitoring of the system's working condition, LabVIEW technique and remote terminal unit (RTU) are adopted. Experiment result indicates that, compared with traditional static hydrocyclone system, the treatment efficiency of the present system can be as high as 94%. It is easy to use and can reduce maintenance workload and improve the bilge treatment level. |
