Summary: | The paper consist of a compact monopole patch antenna designed for C-band, H-band and X-band, the proposed antenna stays designed on FR4 material substrate with εr = 4.4 and 0.0025 as loss tangent. In the proposed design of patch antenna the corresponding alterations had been made which contains inset and offset feeding, adding SRR shaped and rectangular shaped slots in patch and a rectangular notch in patch itself to expand the bandwidth and the defected ground plane has been used also in the design. The dimensions of the antenna is 12×18×1.6 mm width, length and height respectively. The results simulated on HFSS software for the proposed design of antenna shows bandwidth (well-defined by −10 dB return loss) from 5.5-12.5GHz, also the bandwidth is described by the value of VSWR less than 2 for whole bandwidth of antenna and the peak gain is found to be 6.25 dB. The antenna covers all of the C-band, H-band and X-band range. |
