Description
Summary:Immediate measurements of energy spectra of ion beam extracted from the MEVVA pulsed vacuum arc are performed. The extracting voltages are varied within a wide range of values, namely, from 1 kV up to 10 kV. It is found that the ion energy spectra throughout the voltage range are changed significantly and they are district from these arising due to the "electrostatic" acceleration. Namely, at voltage less than 5 kV the ions with energies markedly less than the "electrostatic" energy E= eZU are found. As the voltage attains 10 kV, then a tail of ions accelerated up to energy exceeding the electrostatic one are recorded. These results are due to influence of space charge of the separated ion beam. One should take in mind finding obtained when applied the accelerator for different aims.
