Description
Summary:Plant cover can affect military tactics, decisions, and operations. Each type of vegetation significantly influences the trafficability in unique ways. Vegetation covers many regions of the Earths surface, therefore the military planners rely heavily on vegetation analysis. With regard to cross-country movement (CCM), we differentiate individual types and sorts of vegetation and forests. Vegetation affect the speed of movement of a vehicle by various ways, depending on factual canopy structure conditions given. There are included some classifications of vegetation factors and their impact on the cross-country movement in paper. As a case study to determine if a vehicle can maneuver through a forest, and to what percent the vehicle speed will decrease, the area near Strelice village (southeast part of the Czech Republic) was choosen.
