Study of Multilevel Inverter Fed Single Phase Induction Motor
This paper studies the efficacy of multilevel inverters (MLI) fed a single-phase induction motor (SPIM) drives. A novel single-phase 5-level pulse width modulated (PWM) inverter is utilized. Summary: | This paper studies the efficacy of multilevel inverters (MLI) fed a single-phase induction motor (SPIM) drives. A novel single-phase 5-level pulse width modulated (PWM) inverter is utilized. The proposed inverter consists of two switching groups. The first is controlled at the line frequency while the other is controlled at the switching frequency. The inverter operating modes, the applied PWM technique and the machine mathematical model are attended. MATLAB/SIMULINK software program is used to assure the efficacy of the proposed multilevel for drive applications. |
