Physical Layer Impairment (PLI) Aware Transponder Selection Policies for GMPLS/WDM Optical Networks
We extend RSVP-TE protocol to handle the transponder parameters, availability at signaling time and propose two PLI-aware transponder selection policies: worst-first and best- first. The simulation results suggest that worst-first performs better with respect to blocking probability.
