Integrated all-active Mach-Zehnder wavelength converter with record signal sensitivity and large dynamic range at 10 Gbit/s

An optimized all-active Mach-Zehnder wavelength converter is presented. At 10 Gbit/s, a conversion penalty below 1 dB can be maintained for input signal powers as low as -10 dBm. The signal power dynamic range is at least 15 dB.
